5W20 or 5W30?

Alright guys, I'll be topping up my oil soon, so here's the question:

My RX-8 manual says to use 5W20. I've heard of others using 5W30 oil as it's thicker. Which one is best? Also heard to stay away from synthetic oil so I'll be sticking with conventional. As for the brand, I'm thinking Castrol GTX, or is there a better brand oil to use?

Castrol GTX.

Nothing wrong with synthetic, I simply choose to stick with conventional oil

You are so wrong, you're suppose to multiply the two sets of numbers then add them.

(5)(W)(20)+(5)(W)(30)
100W+150W
150W!

Sounds like a good plan! Wait! There are stickies! There is burning! it's already in place! Your the inventor! Awesome!
