50k Warranty About to Expire...

Question: How would I extend this warranty? Is it as simple as calling the dealer? Time is short, I'm literally like 500 miles from my warranty expiring so any help you ladies and gentlemen can give me would be great.

My dealer went under, can I just go to any dealer to get this done? Has anyone done this before? How much did it add to your monthly payment? Has anyone experienced any major problems after 50k miles?

I know it' s a lot of questions, but this place is usually good with that sort of thing. Thanks in advance!

You could try calling the dealer, but I don't know if they offer anything. If you decide to go outside party, be careful because there are a lot of scams out there. As for problems over 50k, the engine is a rotary so it has a history of sometimes blowing. It is always seen as a milestone when someone hits 100k. Don't get me wrong, it seems that most do, but some also go up under 100k. This is not to deter you, the car is great, just some facts.

I think the thread above points to the rotary engine components being warranted to 100k, right? SO either way those engine isses shouldn't really be a problem because they'll be warranted past the expiration of my warranty?

True the engine itself does have a warranty to 100K. I am at 136,000 myself had the engine replaced at 110,000. But no other major expenses since 50,000. I advise taking the money a extended warranty would cost and save it for any repairs.

Pretty much this. The usual things that will break, random interior spots and items with usual wear, can be replaced yourself for much cheaper than a dealer anyway. Save the money.
