is the 40th anniversary edition rx8 out in the US?

They have one at King's Mazda in Mason Ohio.

 

And there's one on the floor at Wayne Mazda, NJ.

 

differences other then the int. color?

 

Metropolitan gray exterior, Cosmo red interior, new wheel design (similar to the 09 R3, but 18"), 40th badging, blue tinted foglights (same ones you can get on ebay for $30). Tonkin Mazda in Portland, OR has one.

That's awesome. The rims actually look good and the badging is sweet.

 

i wonder if pricing on even the 40th anniv edition will plummet now that news of the 09 refresh is out... and when the 09 DOES come out, any leftover 08s, even the "anniv." edition will probably drop a lot.

i'm waiting for that to happen to grab one

 

Anybody know a speculative date or time frame when the 09 is supposed to come out? From what I've heard its summer but know nothing past that.

Love the badging but they cost like $130 a piece Still debating buying them. Also it has 40th anniversary floor mats.

 

there's a few of these 40th anniversary editions rolling around in So. Cali. I've seen 2-3 of them around.

 

the suspension is supposedly different on the 40th anniversary editions according to the brochure. It looks like its similar to the '09 R3
