I've been through a lot of the threads here (some longer than others) Didn't see this though. It's a 360 degree iPIX view of the rx-8 interior. I was pretty excited, hope it's somthing new here.

Not bad.. but I'd prefer more resolution and detail.

 

One thing I noticed is the 10,000RPM mark

There's also a homelink system for garage door opening, and I finally got a good view of where the rear door handle woudl be and how it opens.

ewww... right hand drive

did they ever make a right hand drive model?

 

if take a good look at some of the vids or early spy pics you can see that the driver is in the right hand seat.

 

Can anyone make out what is directly behind the rear view mirror?

 

rearward from the mirror there is a panel holding wha tloks like map lights and a place to put your sunglasses. forward of the mirror on the windshield is a blacked out are which i have no idea what that is. reflected in the mirror are a couple of telephone poles a tree and what looks like the corner of a headrest.:D

 

I hope they have auto dimming rear view mirrors.. from that 360 I didn't see it.

 

you know, come to think of it , there must be two yellow cars the left hand drive car seen at some of the shows and the top of this forum. a second one which is right hand drive as seen in the 360 pic. whats that make? 5 cars in 4 different colors? white one in the snow, two yellows, red and silver at mazda irvine and the blue one in xmen2? oh wait 7. the newer red one in the recent vid and i think an older vid had a older red right- hand drive one.

 

The blacked-out area reminds me of a similar area on my sister-in-law's Peugeot 406, or is it her Beetle. Anyway, I think that contains a rain sensor, so maybe the wipers are rain sensitive? I could be completely wrong though.
