We I hope my one doesn’t look like that as I ordered a 40th anniversary in black with the black/light silver leather interior

Is this the specs for the US? As they better not stuff my order up again or im going to be pissed

Dose anyone have the specs for Australia?

I suspect they want to make their wankle not explode from boost. Besides, adding a turbo would add a bunch to the price.

I'm glad I got my 8 before the removed the nav system from all but the GT model. Nav should be standard equipment, not top shelf only!

My dealership contact here in Phoenix says he has 2 arriving next week. I told him to call me once they arrive so I can go over and check them out. We'll see.

Tempting… very tempting. I gotta hand it to Mazda—they really know how to put together a package! I liked the '91 BRG Miata and the '99 10th Anniversary Miata, too. Both excellent.

Have to agree with you on the BRG. Got a '91 that I use as my daily driver and it's still running strong at 147K miles.

I gotta say, I'm not all that impressed. I agree with the other statement that they should have done more to it to make it unique other than the int/ext colors, like adding the MS kit or something... Heavy suspension, ok I'll give them that one, but a lot of the rotary heads beef up their stock supsension anyway.

Would it be stupid to buy a 40th anniversary edition and remove the badge? Would it be possible without leaving a blemish on the paint. Just saw one in a dealer lot and I like the metropolitan gray color.

I looked at a 40th anniversary today in person. I'm usually never a fan of dull colors like silver/black/grey, but that metropolitan grey color blew me away. It is very nice and almost looks like a dark green in different light. I love those new wheels too. However, that interior leather color does nothing for me. I wish they would have gone with a regular red color leather or make it available in black or charcoal leather also. That interior would have to grow on me to consider purchasing it, but I just don't see that happening. Car looks great from the outside though.

If you decide to get one and remove the badges, I'll buy them off you

I looked at one at a local dealership and I thought it was easily the nicest looking RX-8. I think they were trying to make the car more 3 series than 350z with the special edition and the car is nicer for it.

I'm currently considering a low mileage Phantom Blue if I can find one but am probably leaning toward an '09 RS. But even if did get a 40th and I took them off, I would still keep them--nothing personal.

There's one at Berge Mazda in Gilbert Az. I just don't like the interior color.

love it

I like my 40th just the way it is. the color does not attract the notice of the government revenue collectors, aka traffic cops, the way a brighter color would.I have not found a flaw in this car, everything is perfect,as was the dealer I bought it from. bill britt mazda

I just bought the 40th last week as my first rx8. Walked into the dealership, saw it, bought it on site. Love at first site. Guess I made that salesman's day. 5 min after closing on last day of the month......

I'm NOT a car guy. Drove a pickup truck last 20 years. This thing is Freakin AWESOME. And I like the colors.

Any suggestions on posts to read, etc. please pm me. Also suggestions for items to use.

I got to look at one last week when I bought my '07. They had one in the showroom. The outside color is great - kind of a cross between gun metal and charcoal grey. Classy looking. I really didn't care for the red leather seats though. I would have preferred black I think. But then I'm not buying one. To each their own!
