Even though this is an old thread, this car is still at the dealership (like I said back in the beginning, more of a marketing thing than an actual car that they expect to sell). I think they have dropped the price quite a bit, but still too much for most people. For anyone in the Portland area that is interested (even just to see it, because it does look nice), it's at Tonkin Mazda on SE 122 Ave.

A lot of you guys are ragging on this dealership and I don't get it. Both the sales manager and the lead mechanic who built it (and seems like an enthusiast)admitted to me that they didn't really expect to sell it for that price. It's eye candy for people visiting the dealership. This is a pretty decent dealership, they haven't done me wrong. In fact, the last time I was there was a week before the Portland Grand Prix (Champ Car) and they had a promo going for it where if you raced these little RC RX-8s you could win tickets... anyway, I won full weekend VIP passes, including VIP parking at the track, plus some Mazdaspeed gear (hats, t-shirts, etc.) Like $400 worth of stuff, pretty sweet deal. Don't be so quick to hate all dealerships.

Yes your right...so in other words I've had my car for 5 months free of payments...
I still count that as $5055 because that is a savings for me...that I don't have to pay now...


Car remains the same price...
