This car has been listed twice on ebay already and the highest price it brought was 21k with 14 people bidding on it......They will never sell this car, if someone pays 50k for this car send them to me and i have a 76 Gremlin i will sell them for 30k!!!! lol You could but a base model rx8 and add all the same ms parts for 30k

For 50 grand... Unless someone pays cash for it, or puts a really really really hefty down payment, no bank will finance it except for Mazda.

Can you imagine the resale value on that car a year from now? None of that ish is worth anything to the resale value.

    Sucks to be in Russia.

I've seen a few new GT's for as low as $26k.

Yeah, my sport pkg was 19k, apparently no one wanted it in yellow, guess that's why. The value was set at like what? 26k, had only 11k miles on it. It was either this or the gt titanium for 27k which had a cracked windshield.

    Proud of my choice.

i must say it is a nice try for a dealer to do this but the market up is insane..i am sure there is an equally insane person out there that might buy it as well.

That reminds me of a customer we had a couple years ago when the Scions first came out.

This guy in his mid 30's comes by and tells us he wants to order a black xB, and then tells us he wants to order every accessory available. The outcome... We ordered it with every accessory available from Scion including those awesome under-dash LED lights, added two-tone leather, installed a sunroof, new wheels and tires, TRD exhaust.... long story short... it started out as a $15,500 price tag, and ended up at $27,000. Needless to say, he comes by just about every month to try and trade out of it.

His first mistake was buying the xB. I will never understand the appeal of those things.

Haha.. here in dallas, there was an 8 on the showroom floor that I was looking at, Brillant Black, almost every option you could put on it (not the mazdaspeed stuff, just the regular stuff, appearance package, leather, cargo net, that kinda stuff)... but they wanted 40K for it!! I told the guy he was retarded, and he laughed at me. I laughed at him and left.

if a person buys that, i want them to come on the club and say that they bought it, then we tell them how much they could of saved by just buying the mazdaspeed parts seperately..

If someone were to "buy it now", thats a good $10,000-$13,000 worth of gross.
My dealership pays 25% of what gross you made selling the car. I'd like to be the salesman who sells that one!!
It'll be a crappy commission. The parts dept will mark up the parts to full MSRP and bill the sales dept. Plus, the service dept and body shop will bill the sales dept at full door rates for all installation. The dealer will keep any holdbacks on his inventory. Then you may have to pay out of your gross for any participation fees for factory incentives....

You're probably better off convincing someone not to buy the MS-8, switch him to a used 323 at full pop, and throw in a paint protector + rust proofing package.

I have their newspaper add for it from a little over a week ago. It says "Be the proud owner of the first 2007 in town." "Come see the only one around." and also "Completely equipped with EVERY genuine MazdaSPEED accessory available - NO AFTERMARKER PRODUCTS INSTALLED!"

I saw that also. It's at Ron Tonkin. I didn't check out the price or anything other than seeing that it was there.

At least they took the "For love of your money" license plate frames off and replaced them with "MAZDA SPEED CARBON FIBER LICENSE PLATE FRAMES". They don't seem to know that Mazdaspeed is not two words, but I bet they know how to run a credit check.

$1500 sound crappy to you? The car was ordered with all the Scion equipment, and everything else other than the TRD exhuast was outsourced.

They actually had a poster hanging next to this car at the dealership, it had all the Mazdaspeed parts listed at full price + instalation and then that was added to the GT price. Seems like flawed logic to me, because if someone was interested in the car they wouldn't be getting 4 new OEM wheels, stock shocks, springs, body parts, etc. At dealership prices, those stock parts add up to a pretty penny also and should be subtracted from the price.

Like I said earlier, this smells like a promotional thing. The sales manager there (who is a very non-carsalesman like guy) talked to me a little about it, and hinted that he didn't expect it to sell at that price. Actually when he first came out of his office and saw me looking at it he said, "don't even think about it!"

It needs a supercharger, the magnesium wheels, coilovers, and flywheel to even start considering $50K. Hmmmm

Try more than that man, I'd say add some heafty helpings of carbon fiber (hood, trunk, interior accents, strut tower braces front and rear, a and b pillars), and a few more suspension goodies(polyurathane bushings to start) and THEN MAYBE it'd be worth close to 50k
