Bulbs for clear corners

OK, so I was getting ready to order some clear corners, and I want to get amber bulbs that don't look amber when they're off. There are two options listed on the site...some chrome "regular" bulbs, and some clear "super amber" LEDS which are actually cheaper. I like the idea of LEDs...but is there a disadvantage to using them for this application? Are they going to connect the same way as the standard bulbs, or is there more work involved? I'm not used to getting more (or the same) for less money...

LED's are fine, there's no disadvantage other then you can get cheap leds that won't last long. they connect the same way, there is no more work involved.

what do the leds look like when off under the clear corners? i know a regular amber bulb looks like crappy egg. the stealth (chromed) bulbs hide that.

The LED lights are clear and do not show any amber when off. I have used both stealth bulbs and LEDs in my clear corners and between the two do not see much of a difference.

Ya, go with the rx8strakes LED's. I have the clear ones, they are nice and bright. I know you're getting the amber, but they will work the same. Plus, they will have that good LED glow, not the kinda of light you get from a standard halogen light

FYI, I am using some cheapo quad-LED lights from the local auto store.

You will probably be sorry with that choice, but one never knows.

Hey Guys, i recently purchases the parking leds, clear corners and rear plate led bulbs... i have bought ALOT of stuff from u guys and have loved all the products u offer... however just a small issue is that one of the clear corner bulbs wont work when it is fully pushed into the light harness.. it does work when u pull it out a little but its not stable and when the car moves it either falls out or keeps flashing... any ideas what i could do to sort this out? i tried the other bulb in the same socket and it works fine so i know its not an electrical issue.. any help would be great!

Try bending the little wire contats on the bulb out a little. I had a similar problem which went away when I did that.

I bought the 9 and 6 LED bulbs along with the clear corners. I really wanted to put the 9 LED in the clear corners but the 9 doesnt seem to fit in the housing. So I put the 9 on my side interior doors. I put the 6 on the clear corners and they were fine. 6 months later I noticed the left LED bulb is flickering on and off also with the right side. I put the 9 bulb in place to see if it would do the same and it didnt. On one LED bulb 2 of the 6 bulbs are not working. Now Im stuck with the original bulbs on clear corners...(YUCK). I emailed RX8 Strakes about issue and still waiting for a resonse. Ive bought many products from them before and this is the first time Ive had issues with their product.
