Elliot is shipping me a manifold next week. It is dual external wastegate and has dual EGT bungs. I chose to go with the Turblown manifold because it meets all my requirements. Which are fit a huge turbo, twin scroll T4, room for dual 40mm external gates, dual EGT, clears xcessive LIM and has room for a 4" downpipe. I'll still have room to do a V mount as well.

It's available for purchase here: Turblown REW Swapped Rx-8 Turbo Manifold

I'm not concerned at all even with running it in a harsh environment like Time Attack. A lot of people have been running Turblown manifolds for years without issues and it has a lifetime warranty.

Yeah my buddies issues must be specific to Texas weekend driven street cars.

Cool man, Good choice.
I know several guys here in Florida running his manifolds and are very happy with them.
Can't wait for a update on you car

Oh yeah, did you see the low profile REW oil pan from Banzi Racing?
Good product for lowered cars w/a REW.

.

Yeah I saw that pan but it seems more prone to oil starvation than the stock one. Since I am going to only be using the stock pan for a little bit, and then switching to a dry sump setup (which is just a flat plate on the bottom), I decided it wouldn't be a very good investment. The stock pan will be on for break in, tuning, and maybe one or two events before the dry sump setup is finalized and on the car.

Also here is a teaser of wastegate placement.

They have good flow for boost control, out of the way so 4" downpipe is still no problem and it's away from the heat, lots of chassis clearance, easy access for spring changes while installed on the car, all the air lines going to them are away from heat and easy to get at. Also the screamer pipes will be really short too which is good.

Sorry buddy maybe you've just never looked around at nice tubular turbo manifolds before. That price is pretty standard considering it is almost a built to order part with low production numbers and demand. Look around at the price points for quality tubular manifolds and you'll see that the price for a relatively low demand item like this is pretty much where it should be.

Exactly and exactly! Even if you don't know how to weld, just cut the pipes and mock them up(tack them ifyou can) and then bring them to a welder. I bet the most they'll charge is like 150bucks. The market sucks big fat elephant dick. Crazy, absolutely crazy....

Yeap, i don't think my low mount manifold and down pipe even cost 150 for parts.

I couldn't find anyone willing to sell me just those parts.

It is what it is. I'll gladly pay that much in order to not have something that I cobbled together in my garage that looks like garbage and will not flow worth a damn.

logalinipoo, I know more than one person that has lost a turbo because metal bits broke off inside the manifold due to shitty welds. Just a heads up.

Made it out to the first annual Boost Festival here in Arizona that was hosted by Turbo by Garrett.

Not exactly my realm of motorsports but it was a cool event, looking forward to next year.

Manifold is all finished up and on its way to me. Available at TurboSource.com - Turbochargers | Turbo Components | Heat Management | Performance Parts | in both external and internal wastegate configurations for 13b-REW swapped RX-8's. If you want a big turbo (up to GTX42r, EFR9180 or S480 sizes for example) and the ability to have a 4" downpipe this is a good choice.

Mine is externally gated with two 40mm Turbosmart units (don't have those yet, ones in picture aren't mine) and also has dual EGT bungs. I will be sending it off soon to get coated at Swaintech as well as the turbine housing.

There was no name change and Elliot made this. Thanks for the smartass comment though.

Runners are 1.5" like all their other manifolds.
