if you want to utilize all the rx8 features. Use a Rx8 front cover. i've seen another person using a 12A front cover. to work with all the factory gauges. You mind as well use a rx8 front cover since you already have it.

^Sorry for my horrible spelling o.O

Yes Foch is in Queens. Closer to Long Island but not in the best area lol. I don't know everything about the swap as I haven't done it. But rather just alot of research on it as it seems to be one of the few reliable ways to boost an 8. I would defenately reccomend following the few REW swap builds that are here on the forums. Then call around a few local places and get more info.

Firecran has the HKS manifold on his setup. Like said before the RX8performance subframe would help with the swap.

Truth!

No need to have a manifold made.
The FD HKS manifold is bolt on option that works well with a small to mid size turbos.

That doesn't really make sense, but I'll say it as I do in all other threads, it doesn't matter what cover you use on it-all your features can work. Using the stock rx8 cover though requires machining...

Hmm would it make it easier for the a/c lines and trigger wheel? Just wondering

Looks like your gonna have to hack away at the firewall. A known problem with this swap as the REW's UIM is wider and can rub against the firewall (which yours looks like it is).

Subbed, my engine is on it's last leg and this is my more "affordable" dream swap. Trying to collect as much data as I can before I have to make a decision on weather I'm gonna stick with the renny or go for the rew.

dznutzuk and firecan, I would gladly take any additional info you can provide me on the swap. My e-mail is rx_7_driver@yahoo.com

Thanks,
-Shawn

Definitely will not, as all cars 96 and up require OBD2 scan as a part of inspection. REW's are OBD1.

the engine light won't be on when i go do the test! custom computer and wiring work to making the cars stock functions all work properly.. and even if it was all i have to say is "one of the exits on the crossbronx"

i can't say publicly were i can get this done, but anyone who is into serious high hp builds, knows were to take their cars for inspection

That has nothing to do with it. All you need is thinking power...
