An intake manifold? I know someone local here in Queens who is getting the swap done on his 8. It's being done by Jim at JPR Imports in NJ though. As fas as I know he is using the stock rew intake manifold and also having custom work done on the Renesis front cover so all his electronics remain intact. Where in NY are you from?

EDIT: If you mean exhaust manifold. The stock one wont work since the twins won't fit in our engine bay. You'll need convert to single turbo.

It's Jim himself doing the swap and all the tuning (via Microtech). The guy who's getting it done isn't too active here on the forums but he's always at the Douglaston meets Thursday night. Motors in the car and swaps almost done. Half bridgeport and a 73mm Borg Warner single turbo. He's says it should be done by next month. I'm not too sure if he'd want me to post pics of his build online. I think i'll ask him first lol but its looking great so far.

So I texted my buddy and he was cool with me posting up some pics since he's not too active here on the forums.

Almost there.

Unrelated but this is Jim's drag FD. Now enough of my threadjacking.. But I would recommend OP check out JPR since he's in NY and their somewhat local. Work is top notch.

Next time you write something, there's no reason to use a huge font! It will not make your subject more important, all it will do is **** people off. Now, did you do any research at all? There's quite a few threads now, I suggest you search...

I'm not too sure exactly, But my friend usually heads out on thursdays to go down and check out the build. I'll hit him up and ask when he's going again. If he's cool with it (which I'm sure he will be) Ill PM you his number. Swaps almost done, he said hopefully within the next few weeks he can get tuning finished.

Overall the turnover wasn't bad at all. He left the car there maybe early December so about 4 months-ish.

It uses the stock computer then you use the interceptor and microtech everything works but you will have a ck eng light on that's all for the trans u will have modify the transmission tunnel a bit. Motor sits lil more towards the firewall. I got the whole swap for cheap so I wanted to get it done.

Easiest way for the mounts would probably be to buy the subframe crossmember from rx8performance. And ehh... T&R's rep is a little iffy, their work is hit and miss depending on how they like you. There's a small rotary shop on Foch blvd. that does phenomenal work. Someone I know with an FD just got a really nice rebuild and port work from them. But their really small and independent. Plus the one guy who does all the builds and tuning doesn't speak much english.

Since your in Long Island I'd recommend SpeedTek out in Deer Park. Their work on FDs is unrivaled. I've seen a few of the Fds they've built in person and the power is just insane. If your unfamiliar with their work, look up Roan and his 9 second FD. Probably one of the most infamous FDs out here in Queens. They would definitely be able to point you in the right direction.

You should seriously consider hormone therapy. I'm sure there are more if I wanted to spend more than the few minutes that I just did:

Fonky, did you actually use the damn search button? Did you read all the threads for 13b swaps or did you look at the first and last pages only? People who are serious about learning on how to do things actually research and contact other people who did complete swaps. I've had about 10 different guys contact me and I sent them complete info on how-to (mechanically&electrically), and even then, they didn't go through or finish it. You're new and have 4posts, and you can't find answers....?
