Year End 2006 Special Deal

Got a letter in the mail this weekend. Here's the offer:

Dealership where I bought my 2004 MT/GT in December 2003 is looking to buy back pre-owned 2004 vehicles AT RETAIL in a special private sale, and offering to sell 2006 or 2007 vehicles at 2006 prices AND manufacturers incentives.

It would be interesting if they could:

Buy my pristine 2004 MT GT (29K miles) with appearance pkg for retail ($21,500-23,500)

Sell me the exact same 2006 MT GT (0 miles) for approx. $25,000.

Basically setting the mileage clock back to zero, (with 2006 in the book for 0 miles) for just a few grand.

Seems to good to be true

I think the thing you may be missing is the MT GT RETAIL is not 25K, more like 32K+misc, even a base is 27K or so+misc. Still if you're willing to take another 1st year depreciation hit on the chin as soon as you walk away with it... what ta hey

Where is this and what are current incentives?

Hey Spin,

Yeah, a new 2006 GT/MT invoices for around 29,500-30,000 -- but mazda is currently offering corporate incentives of around 3k till Jan 02 (see mazda.com), who knows what other cards the dealers have to play at year end.

This is a private "letter only" sales campaign at a certain dealership in Danvers

Happy New Year

But i hear they offer pretty good deals during the beginning of the year on 06's since everyone is alittle worried about taxes.

I get these *deals* every freaking month (in mail)

What they're trying to do is scam you. Like Spin9K said if you can take the hit. hit it.
