Good deal?
Okay looking to buy and made a deal with an online manager at a local Mazda. 2006 mica grey, 6 speed manual, Grand Touring package, Mazda remote start, Bose sound, rotary accent, cool two tone leather, rear wing and with only 9 miles total for 23,500.... is this a good deal? With tax and other crap.. about 25,300 out the door for in my opinion a new car. Lets hear some opinions I only have this deal for a couple of days and I'm worried that I could find a better deal if I wait. Also is resale really that bad?

Good deal. If you want the car get it now. I wanted to wait for better pricing like this but I really wanted the red shinka, so I paid more than I wanted to.
If you are worried about resale at all then stop here, go find a 2000 accord, and buy that. Resale sucks on any car and buying a car is a terrible investment if you sell it within 3 years. You can look at used prices just like anyone else, for 23,500 what can you buy used?

Don't know where you are located but this is a good deal. Don't wait.
My 2006 Touring package w/ a few add ons was $23,750 1-month ago so your GT package is a good deal.
Resale will suck unless you are putting down a lot of $.

I'm in Chicago, I know I shouldn't care about resale value but it does stick in back of the head. The cars sticker price is around 32,500, so I did think that was a good deal, I was looking at 2004 used for 21,000. Thanks guys, I just didn't want to pull the trigger with out some feedback. Plus it is the color and interior that I wanted.

I paid 30k OTD for a 2006 shinka (dec 1st) since I had to have the copper red. And your getting all that extra stuff. I dont even have the rotary accents. But I love the car and have no regrets. Resell? MPG? Blah!!!! If your going to sell it in a year or two than just lease it. But once you own it, I tell you...... all the worries melt away. Post some pics when you get it. Good luck.

Thanks everyone on the info, I had a first generation RX7 back in college and loved it. The car had 180,000 miles and still drove strong. I just sold my 2002 diesel Jetta and was looking for something more sporty, I think this is it. The wife has a CRV so I'm covered if there is alot of snow. Seems like everyone thinks this is good so I will go for it, I just hope I can put enough miles on it to justify the purchase, by the way I'm the worse with buyers remorse. Sorry for the whinning

Well went to the store saw the car, awesome, finished the finance, test rode it, awesome again. BUT couldn't pull the trigger, I just couldn't justify buying a sports car with having a wife and baby daughter. I am the worst waffler on the planet, I told the sales guy if he wanted to punch me in the face that he could have a free one. He just laughed and said to think more about it. I have a CRV now and a Ducati, do I need this great car?

Congrats, I also have a motorcycle also, but that was one of the reasons that pushed me into buying the 8. I was in love with the handling.
