Question Worth getting an 06 over an 04?

I'm picking up an RX-8 within the next 2 weeks I know what i'm getting into. This is not a "should I buy thread". I am buying. I'm in Canada so prices are a lil different then US.

I am however torn between putting around 14k$ for an 04-05 with 70-90k kms(45-60k miles).

Or Around 17k for an 06 with +-40k kms on the clock(25k miles).

I tried to search for difference between the 04 and the 06 and I did not find much altough I heard the 06 have better ignition coils?

Thanks for any advise.

even though I have an '04 with no issues to date. it is a first production year and there are more bugs. just got to ask yourself is the 3k in "changes" to known problems with the 04s worth it to you.

I have an 06 with 23k miles. Go with that. I never have the engine issues as all these others have such as flooding. Not to say I won't, But I think that was the year they kinda worked out a lot of the kinks in the car. Not to mention the warranty will be a year longer...

I would go with the 06 for no apparent reason. Newer engine year, less miles, yadda yadda yadda, etc. Any maintenance histories for both cars ?

ahh... The will be worth more if its a keeper.

Differances are: different rotor, which know knows why, upgraded starter, and larger battery.

Many of us have's with zero problems, like me.

I can't tell you how many people I meet that have no interest in goin to this sight.

So, if you want to collect... buy the otherwise I tend to buy the newer car.
