When does warranty begin and end?

I am looking at a 04 GT purchased ~ June 05. It currently has ~ 43k miles. I know the engine core warranty is 8 years and 100,000 miles, but when did the warranties start and when did they end?

I am assuming that the powertrain warranty of 5 yr/ 60k miles will be ending June 2010 or within 13k miles?

If that is correct. then basically only the powertrain and engine core warranty is left.

I'm not seeing this on their site. The Powertrain limited warranty they show is for 2007-2009. The '06 just says bumper to bumper 4yr or 50k.

I know by typical manufacturer standards all usually have a Powertrain warranty of 5yr or 60k and it might be in my brochure or manual but just not seeing that article on their site anywhere that expo1 posted showing the details of all parts that are covered.

I know the engines for all of the cars except '09 are 8yr or 100k.

What I posted was a letter sent to us, your not going to find it on any Mazda site.
Call Mazda USA and have your vin# handy. Ask them to confirm The RX-8 Powertrain Warranty Extension Program SSP 67 applies to you.
