Hi all,
Haven't been here in a while. Finally got something that gave me an excuse to check out the site again.

Anyway, I got my RX-8 in February of 2005. Recently in the mail I got a "14 day FINAL NOTICE" saying that my 36 month, 36,000 mile factory warranty is about to expire. It is a notice to extend coverage with an extended warranty.

However, isn't the warranty a 4 year, 48,000 mile warranty? At least, it was for the '05's?

We received several of these from various companies for my wife's 2006 Grand Prix GXP. Warranty isn't going to expire for over a year...

They try so hard to make it seem like it is the dealership contacting you.

well oh well, looks like i missed a spot.

They really do make an effort to fool you. Except I didn't buy my car 33 months ago, that was one strike. Lying about the warranty is another.

Still, what I wonder is how they knew I bought an RX-8 around that time in the first place! I frickin' hate mail spam. At least e-mail spam isn't a waste of paper...

They base it on Registrations, and most cars have 36 month warranties so then send them all out then.

nah, I already have an extended warranty I was just curious whether I would have to deal with that this year or next.
