Resale Prices for Gen II R3
One of the big criticisms of the RX-8, apart from poor gas mileage and low torque, has always been steep depreciation. That seems to have changed, at least for the R3. The prices for used R3s seems to be relatively high. The cheapest advertised one in my area is a 2009 with 8,000 miles about $25,500. Has anyone else noticed that prices seem to be going up now that the RX-8 is getting ready to fade into the sunset?

It's too early to tell imho...
FWIW, a quick nation-wide search on Carmax.com revealed two blue '09 R3 models for sale. One with 12K miles for $24,450 and the other with 14K miles for $23,998.

didn't they retail new for 32k? Any new car, you lose $3-5k the second you drive it away (most anyways), so lets say 5k here to $27k + 1 year and 8k miles.
I don't think that's high really consider the new car value. In 2008 a 2007 fully loaded was still going for $25-26k. I'd say it's about on par so far?
