Question question about "Dealer Inventory" on Mazda website

Are the cars listed on the dealer inventory ones that have been pre-ordered? Obviously, they're not at the dealership (so many!).

Reason I'm asking is that I ordered almost a month ago, and I don't see my configuration on the website through my dealer.

thanks!

I was at my dealer yesterday and they said all the cars coming in in the next month were preorders. They had 5 on the lot but that was it for a couple of months.

Hey -

If your car isn't in inventory then it is most likely that your orderr has not yet been accepted by the factory. My car didn't show up in inventory until a month or so after I ordered it. just be patient, and it'll show. You can't call Mazda North America without a VIN. Talk to your dealer and once you have a VIN you can start to track your order.

All the best -

Holy crap I can't wait til the end of november for this car. I think if I see a steal for an S2000 I will have to jump ship.

LOL. The local Honda/Toyota dealer here has a silver S2000 on the lot right in front of the showroom. Written in that white crap on the windshield "Buy One, Get One Free!"

Hey Lee? Wanna go Halvsies on an S2000? :D

Peace

Heh heh, sure, I'm down. I just can't make it out to Ohio anytime soon. =P Hmm we would be paying way under 20k each for the car though...heh heh

Think your wait is bad?

I am in agony. I ordered my car in May, but because of financial reasons, I cannot buy it untill the end of December/January. My dealer says he placed the order in July and that it has an estimated build date of mid-September. So my car might be being built today:D or tomorrow. Or it could have been yesterday. Just nowing my car may actually exist now makes waiting so much worse. I could handle it before when my car was just a piece of paper with the specs I wanted written down on it. Ahhh... if only I had 100% assurance that I have a job after graduation I would have the car now.

If your build date is in the next few days. You should see your car in six to 8 weeks. I have a build date of first week of October and the wait is killing me.
