Price Increase! Can anyone verify??
My salesman called me today and told me my ordered car wouldn't be in until mid July and that there was a price increase coming soon. I said "a price increase before the '05's are out?!?" He said "yes." Can anyone verify this? I think they may be trying to get me to buy one off the lot instead of sticking with my ordered one.

I was just at a dealer in SoCal on Saturday and told him I'm waiting for the '05s. He made no mention of a price increase in the new model year. Though I didn't ask that specifically, you would think that if he knew about it he'd try to dissaude me from waiting by mentioning it.

How long ago did you order your car? Did you reach a price agreement at the time you placed the order? I also want to know if this is true since I am waiting for the 2005s.

actually, i think there will be. Not so much to do with costs or anything, but because the exchange rates between the dollar and yen is getting worse and worse for us, that invoice prices in terms of the dollar have to go up. I believe most german car companies are already doing this.

I'm beginning to think I should wait for the '05's as well. I'm guessing the information on the '05's will be available in late June?

Why order? The Mazda dealer I take mine in for servicing just advertised 33 8's in stock and $2,500 off of invoice. They are in MN but for that kind of savings you could buy a cheap one way ticket and have fun driving home.

Why order?
Even with 33 8's in stock, they may not have what I want. In the entire DFW metro (6+ dealers) there are only 3 close to what I want - NONE exactly what I want.
What's the zip code for your dealer in MN?
