So I went to the Chevy dealer today for the third time to try and buy an '04 RX-8, 6spd, GT package I believe (navigational system), with a whopping 58k mi.
So the online pricing on cars.com was 19,900 but they tried bullshitting me and tellin me it was 21,xxx. So I brought my dad with me and tried gettin them to lower the price but the best they could do was take 300 off the price even if i were to pay it all with cash...
The car did have a small dent from the rear bumper which looks like it was hit from a pole b/c the bumper is slightly off due to this. I also noticed some oxidation in the engine bay? Another thing was that the trunk bolts were rusted...is all this normal for a 2 yr old car granted the miles...?
Also there was an aftermarket exhaust that was obviously done by an amatuer, b/c it was hung with crap metal clamps and was a tad bit crooked. It also seemed as if the gasket was bad b/c there was exhaust gas/oil leakin from that area.


So I guess what I'm asking is that is this a typical price for the car?
What did u guys pay for ur used RX-8's?
