New 2006 GT (is this fair?)

New 2006 GT with black leather (whitewater pearl)
-appearance package
-rotary accents
-fender strakes
-sensor upgrade
-spoiler

$31000 after $1500rebate

seems like '06 should be considerablly less since you can get a new 07 for almost the same price.

anyone have any input, suggestions, and what they feel a fair price is?

ummm in not sure if 07's have hit the lots yet....if they have then yes you should be able to get it for the high 20's ......I say don't go with it unless you want to pay that price cause you will be able to find it cheaper....

Heck there are still some new 05's sitting on my dealer's lot lol

Here in Los Angeles two dealers had ad's in todays paper stating "all 2006 RX-8
in stock $7,000 off MSRP" which includes rebate and $500 MAC cash. They had over 70 in stock.

I'd appreciate this. I have my eye on a car on the Long Beach lot, but live too far away to see thier ads in the paper.

I got mine for 7100 off MSRP include the 2K rebates from Mazda of Escondido. CivesPDX, I was in the market just like you for a white one. Had to went all the way down to Escondido to get the White GT manual. The one in Long Beach is an Auto. If Auto is what you are looking for you should be getting 75K off (5500 off MSRP + rebates). Or at least that's I thought I saw on their ad. The key here is finding the one that they have in stock. With such a discount they are not willing to trade for one.
