I just got a 04 Red velocity with sport package for about 376 for a 30 lease. The deals are out there for the 04 if you look around.

Your best bet is to find a dealer, online, who's willing to take the most off the sticker--right off the bat. I found one who was willing to take $4000 off, regardless of the car I chose. I picked 04 w/GT pkg, appearance & accents (had them take off spare tire kit) with 4 miles on it and total was $28200. I put down $4000 and my pymts are $407/mo for 72 mo at 4.5%. Get pre-approved for a loan so you can bargain w/that too. Never sell your car to a dealership. Try selling it yourself or to carmax, you'll get more.
