Might lease 04 today! Good price?
I'm looking at leasing an 04 Rx8 today. The local dealer says they only do about 2 leases a month so he wasn't familiar with it, so hes calling me back with lease rates. But heres the breakdown its a red 04 RX8 GT Manual with navi. Sticker is 33,100. As of right now the price is roughly 28.800. From reading this forum it seems like i should be able to get it down to about 27,500 atleast. Let me know what you think... I'm also 6K upside down on my current car so that another reason i'd rather not finance. That plus i usually dont keep the car for more than 4 years anyway.

First off welcome to the forum,
I have no idea what the current deals others are getting as far as how much off they can get,but you did mention one thing in your post. You say you are $6000 upside down on your current car and therefore you don't want to finance the RX-8.That seems wierd to me because regardless of wether you buy or lease you are financing the car,and regardless of buying or leasing if you trade in the upside down car they will tack the negative equity on to the new one.Good luck in you pursuit of the RX-8,but do your homework on the lease.Get the residual, money factor, and negotiated price from the dealer and post them here or at Edmunds.com under the leasing questions ask here forum.Remember never put a down payment on a lease(aside from what is required),and never go beyond the warranty term on your lease term.Good luck.Your going to need it.
