Thanks for the tip. I did check and see how this will effect everything... I only sold the house and am moving because I came down on orders for Germany. US Army.. My understanding is I am exempt from capital gains tax because the sale and move was pursuant to government orders.

I do thank you for bringing it up though.

So the good news is the 8 is paid for, the bad news is you will be in Germany and it will be here?

Oh no, it will be with me in Germany. I am shipping it with me. I get to drive her on the autobahn... yes................................

I won't need to use a dyno to see how fast it will really go for me.

Cool. Hopefully Uncle Sam is picking up the car shipping too.

I was watching the BMW M special on SpeedTV off the Tivo the other night. Hans Stuck hit 194mph in a euro-spec, but stock, M6 on the 'bahn before he had to light up the brakes when some "slow poke" came over into the fast lane. The US spec cars are limited to 150 or 155mph.

So watch out for the REAL bad boys over there

They do pay to ship one car, I have to pay to ship any additional cars. My wife has a MazdaSpeed 6 so we are taking that one too. It isn't cheap but it will be worth having both cars.

Oh yeah, when I was there a few years back I experienced the flash of the headlights in my rear view mirror, that means to get your *** out of the fast lane because they are coming up fast..

How do you and your wife like the speed6 VS the 8?

I bet you can go as fast AND get better mileage in the 6......

The speed6 is faster then the 8 on the straight away but can't hold a candle to the 8 around any types of curves.

the Speed6 does get much better gas milage and has more room, that is our 'family car'

If the 8 had more torque I think it could do better against the speed6 then it does.

We love both of them.
