Its settled! Winning Blue 04...
I settled with a dealer for 28,200 out the door. Its winning blue with GT, appearance, rotary accent, rear spoiler, and cargo net. Didn't quite meet the 28000 i wanted to, but i wont mind a little extra on the down payment especially for the service I've recieved with this salesman. He's the first one out of about 6 dealers who seemed like they actually wanted to sell me a car, even before i offered my bottom line price. The dealer is about 150 miles away, but i dont mind driving it to save almost $20 a month (i have DEEP discounts with Hertz to rent a car for the trip:-). Besides...itll just get me some time to "bond" with the car and get me closer to the 600 mile break-in:-)
P.S. One of the dealers i spoke with today around the area offered me 28,900 again and when i refused said..."This must be your first new car purchase, you'll learn the first time how it works and how we cant go any lower" That comment pissed me off some like i dont know what im doing....thinking of driving up in the new RX-8 with a sign that says "I went to a better car buying school, TUITION = 28200!!" HEHE:-)
