Good Price? NJ

My friend is seriously thinking about getting the rx-8 from a mazda dealership in new jersey on route 1 in New Brunswick. They gave him a quote after haggling of 32,500 fully loaded 6sp except navigation. This is out the door. My friend is going to try and get him down to 31,500-32,000. Think this is good? They are also charging for window etching $400 which I just saw is a scam right? By they have a ton of rx8's on the lot, like 30 or so. Also he is putting $15,000 down.

Thanks

The window etching is not needed.

I don't know what you mean by "out the door" because I consider that meaning with taxes and all misc fees.

You should be able to pick up a GT + Navi combo unit for 30k. Subtract $1700 without the navi and add whatever options you want.... check edmunds for invoice pricing.

Right now most people are buying at or even a little under invoice.

The amount he's putting down is a completely seperate discussion and should not factor into the price of the car. That is why I like to get my car loan approved ahead of time, so I can talk car price, and see if they can do a better deal on finacing - but regardless if they finance or not, that shouldn't effect car price.
