Getting online quotes....

So I'm sending out requests throughout the country for quotes on a 2k4 rx8. Can anyone think of a good response to this quote request response?

Thank you for your interest in our Mazda RX8. I don't e-mail my quotes, because I give my best price up front and if you you take it to another Dealer they will match it and get the sale after I have done all of the work. Hope you understand.

Please ask for me when you call or stop by the dealership.

You can visit us at www.premiermazda.net to see our entire inventory.

I would just call them and tell them hey, the best price wins. A lot of dealers do not email quotes, however, I would not go in b/c they will waste an hour or more of your time. Just call him up.

Just ask them what their best price is... and tell them if they're lowest, they win the business... simple as that.

Good point. I just don't see the difference between them emailing me a quote and them faxing or telling me one over the phone. To start with, they already know that internet customers (for the most part) are going for the lowest price, period. On top of that, I have a check in my hand ready to buy. I'm not just a lead, I'm a sure sell at the right price.

If he won't give you a quote over email, he probably isn't going to give you one over the phone either. I can understand how he feels though. Any dealership probably has a low number of people who buy a car compared to the number of people who come through. There is even less chance of you buying from his dealership if you are not even there. And they will only waste your time if you let them. Walk in, tell them what you want, and tell them the price it is going to take to get you in it. Tell them you don't have time for the salesperson shuffle, you just want one answer, and if it's not what you like you'll go to the next dealership.
