I went through a program at College of Legal Arts, that is pretty much equivalent to one year in college (I think it was a 40-week program), course wise and credit wise. Also approximate cost wise. You did English, computers, and tons of medical related stuff to be familiar with terminology and what happens in the medical profession to be able to put it into a report. I was at the high end pay of my field until they cut me. Now I am at the loser end.

A lot of places pay by the hour (which I am thinking I want now to at least guarantee a minimum of something) with incentives for getting above their minimum so you can make more. MedQuist paid by production. They cut my accounts, restricted my hours, and also cut pay, which made me take around a 60% pay cut and then they stopped reimbursing for my phone line and DSL that is required for this job.

Most places hiring require typing of 80 words per minute or more, roughly 150 lines per hour (calculated at 65 characters equal to a line). I was typing 300 lines per hour until they cut accounts and changed them over to accounts out of Detroit that are 90% foreign with heavy accents and long periods of silence. Even though I am transcribing the same number of minutes of dictation, I am getting several hundred lines per day less.

I am actually supposed to be on and working my shift right now but there are no jobs for me to do, so that means I am having a **** day in terms of pay.

I called my dealer today to find out about my car since he wasn't returning my emails. It turns out he was transferred to their Nissan dealership instead so he no longer has an email at the Mazda dealership. At least he wasn't ignoring me. Anyways, I talked to some guy that I don't think knows anything. He told me it will be at least three more months out until my car gets here and he is leaning towards July. I asked him how that could possibly be true since I was told January 26 that it was assigned a VIN number and production date of Feb. week 1. He had no idea. I told him that I know of other people on here that were assigned VINs the same week I was (fourflush) and one of them was told his car was at port already, so what happened to mine? He had no explanation for me whatsoever on that one. Then he says "Well, I am the Hyundai guy, not the Mazda guy. I can't help you much." Obviously. I asked who I was supposed to talk to and he gave me someone else name and said "He comes in after noon sometime today." So helpful to me!!!! I would at least like an exact clarification of where my car is and when to expect it. If it takes until July (God forbid) then I would at least like to know that is an absolute fact and an explanation as to why it will be until July for a car that went into production February week 1. I hate salespeople!!!!!

^ BG, if you have the VIN you should contact MNAO to see what is going on. Explain the situation you are in and they should be able to assist. I could help you if it was a Ford that you purchased.....but I cannot track Mazda vehicles

Since it is the weekend all I can do is email them my complaint with the dealership and the problems I have been having, which I did. I tracked down the man who was handling my order and left a message for him to call me back (he is supposed to be working today). I asked who he recommended I speak with that should be handling his old job.

My original sales guy handling my order says at port, delivery date March week 3. Yay!!!! He told me ALL RX-8s at port at this time are for dealer delivery date March week 3. He apologized profusely for the run-around and gave me his personal cell phone number if I needed anything else. He said he would take care of everything personally if need be. I really like that man!!!!

My Car is here!

Actually its been here for a couple of days. Unfortunatly i when i got the call on sunday letting me know that the car had arrived i was in the hospital recovering from surgery. So After i got discarged i whent out and took a look at it. (cant drive for a week, doctors orders). Its everything i wanted and more. I have a appointment next week wednesday to close the deal and pick up the car. The wait is killing me. But its almost better that i cant see it in front of my appartment cause the temptation to go driving would be to much.

BunnyGirl has your car arrived yet? Hope it has.

Mine arrived last week but something that was supposed to have been installed at port wasn't so they are getting that fixed. I can't have the car until what's on it matches what's on the papers for it. I should have it next week, just in time to drive myself to my new job. Yay!!!!
