Dealer End of Lease Fee??

Get this- my local dealer had gone out of business, and I wanted to buy my RX-8 and went to the dealer to see about a loan and buying the car.

These guys want a $795 processing fee. WTF???

Anyone else have this little "surprise" waiting for them when they went to buy their RX=8 at lease end??

I'll show him/her 795 times of my middle finger.

Dont get your loan from dealership, especially when u're trying to do a buy-out.

you're still "driving" the car right ? if Im u and they wont get that "processing bullshit" away + a good price, Im sure Im gonna beat the crap outa that car before I return it to them. perhaps I might even go drain the tranny and rear diff oil 1/2 way before I return it to them.

As I understand it, this isn't even for the loan- this is just a fee to transfer ownership from Mazda Credit to me.

I'm gonna call a friend in the business and see what the deal is.

FWIW, BMW charged me a $350 Disposition Fee when I returned my 3-series. But they will waive this if you purchase the car or lease a new one.

That $795 fee should have been written on your lease contract. If it isn't, the dealer is just trying to get more $$$ out of you.

They want MONEY!

Re-finance through your bank or the loan company that owns the title to your car.

No cost to you. They make money off the interest.

Process fee goes into someones pocket and is bull ****.
