bought my 8 yesterday!

I bought my 8 yesterday. '04 Nordic Green w/Grand Touring and Naviagtion. I got the dealer to add the spoiler for free, and got the dealer to put a '05 radio head unit in and install the sirius components for free. The radio took a little haggling. Bottom line, I got all the stuff listed above for $26,500 before tax, tag, and title. With the Sirius and the spoiler, the MSRP would have been $34,350. It was obvious that they wanted to move this car no matter what and I was in a situation that I didn't have to buy it. If any of you are ooking for a great deal on an 8, check your area for any remaining '04s.

Sweet deal for a great car. I am haggaling with dealers right now and have them down to $30,865 for a 05 Titanuim grey GT with nav. I'd love to save that 4K and buy an 04 instead But there are none of them in the color or options I want.

Congrats mattisax!

Josh...you're going to have to make a sacrifice...either you'll save the money and maybe not get the exact color you want, or you get what you want, but you gotta pay for it

Gambit is right Josh, you are gonna have to make the decision I did. I drove a Shinka and loved the look of it. I know it isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I thought it looked good. I originally wanted a white or black, but when I saw the green, I loved it. When I compared the amount of money I was saving between the Shinka and the 04, it was no contest. I feel like a bought a used car that no one had ever owned before if that makes any sense.

Congrats on new purchase. I guess that's part of the deal when buying an 04 at a closeout price. I'd have a near impossible time finding my 36kmsrp black 04 rx8 now if I had waited, and the $4k savings would have been nice. However, I'd have also had the car for one less year of driving. I personally think my first year of ownership was worth the $4k, because I absoutely love this car. I'd imagine there won't be much budging with the 05 model, because the dealers are hard pressed to get rid of their 04's. Either way , you just can't go wrong for an 04 at these insane prices. If anyone said a year ago they picked up an RX8 Gt with navi for 26,500, we'd all be throwing out the BS flag and laughing. Now it's a reality.
