Another "What Should I Offer" thread
I'm looking at purchasing an '06 dealer demo RX-8 with 2400 miles. The dealer hasn't posted a price.
It's a Touring model, with spoiler.
What would you think is a good price? Considering a local dealership is selling a brand-new 2006 GT for $24999, I was thinking somewhere around $22000. Am I too optimistic?

I'd rather have the new GT at $25k. That's a lot of hard demo miles on there. I'd offer less, $20kish, and maybe agree to $22k if i really wanted that particular one. I got an 06 sport for $21.5k with only 55 miles on it. Don't worry about being too low.

Update - I went in and offered 22k, and they couldn't come down below 24,500. They tried to sell it as a "new" car, which is a bunch of crap.
So I walked, and still in the market. Woot!

This was after 3 hours of haggling - their initial price was $27500!
I'm now looking at a brand-new '06 GT that I should be able to get for less than $24.5k
