2008 RX8 Sport

Hey guys, Im a new member here and I was thinking about getting an 08 RX8. The dealer wants 26 for the the 08 black sport 6sp. Does that sound like a reasonable deal?

The '09s will be early, probably sometime in June this year so you should be able to do better. Some people have posted some very good deals on 40th edition models, not that much higher actually. That's a beautiful dark gray and I also like the interior. Might also want to consider the improved engine on the '09s if you don't mind the styling downgrade.

Sorry, but I can't find the right threads; how much $$ off are people generally getting on the 40th anniversary models?

Thanks.

Search around, you'll find that info in different places. A while back there was a kid who was quoted a little under 30 and another guy here was quoted $28,809: https://www.rx8club.com/purchasing-financing-insurance-56/pricing-40th-edition-07-a-140096/

That will only go down over the next couple of months as the '09s show up. It's a buyer's market.

I looked at the 09s and they look good to me too. But right now mazda is offering 3000 dollars customer cash, so technically id be getting the car for 23 grand.

When I bought my 05, it was about 6K off MSRP. I have the base model which I think they're calling the sport now. As the 09's get closer, the price on 08's will decrease. I'll be surprised if you can't get one for 22 or so.

The 09's wont' be marked down for awhile so I'd go w/ the 08 over the 09 if you can save 5k.

Aren't the latter build-dated 2008's engines the same as the upcoming 09's? Like the flashes, pcm, injector upgrades?

I love the way the 09's look...

but since you're getting 3k off, and for 23 grand, that's not bad for an 08, I wouldn't think.

Congrats! I think that's a great deal--that was the exact targer number I had for a new Sport MT with the performance package at the end of the year.

Nice! Congratulations

What was the sticker price on the car? - a sport has msrp of $27070. Did it have any extras. I'm curious as to how much you got off in total since I'm looking at options too, although I'll probably go used. I assume your 20k price was before tax and tags?

Thanks!

Ok, how and where did you get such great deal? Even with 3000 rebate, I don't see any dealers cutting $7000 - $8000 yet.
