04 buying troubles
Hey everyone!
I cannot get any of the dealers to go below 28,950 after rebate. (GT, rear spoiler, appearance, rotory accents), Wtf is going on? I hear all these magical stories about buying new 04s with all that for like 25-26k. I've been pretty stubborn too. I talked to a dealer thats 150 miles away today and said he might be able to break 28k with a blue one loaded like i want. What gives??

According to www.carsdirect.com the target price for that car is $29,091 (in the Seattle area, at least.) So I'm not surprised you can't get a dealer to go much below $29K, especially given the presumed shortage of '05's after the fire at the Mazda factory in Japan.
As for the "magical stories" about '04's, try reading the fine print. Not to say that no one has gotten such a price, but most of the cars in that price range aren't GT's 6 spds with the appearance package and rear spoiler.
