Definitely considering a S/C now. All these Greddy kits on the for sale forums lately are tempting though.
On to a serious question now though. If you get the Stage 2 kit can you upgrade to the Stage 2 CS kit? Is the stage 2 CS kit just the normal kit with the reflash?

Dreamcrusher? I havent been called that since my last blind date years ago---ahhh the memories!
Seriously--dont mean to throw water on your fire. I just got the impression that you were impatient to get er done.
I want everyone that has this kit to have a very solid car and so does Cam and it order for that to happen your car needs pre install prep. Real gauges (including air charge temp--but not mandatory), is one, an A/F gauge, additional cooling, water meth system is HIGHLY recommended, ignition system check, FP OK? Things like that. Then after the install the ability to trouble shoot etc. Thats why I like to do a self install--so i know where things go and what cuss words to asscociate with them.
Welcome to the brotherhood dude.

Wouldn't it be the 16C? Not trying to pick an arguement here
But if the difference between the 12A and 12B was a dimension change, and the 12B to 13B was just a configuration change, then changing dimension again would be another letter change along with the capacity change?
Of course, Mazda could do whatever they want, but just saying, that would match their historical trend.

who knows, chassis and engine designations are so complicated these days, I would say to Phil that the only reason from switching to B or C from X is that the engine has come out of its "X"perimental phase into a proven platform,,,

I was not intending to start anything. A S/C is damaging and can be as damaging. Anything you do will damage it and an engine can only make so many revolutions in a lifetime.
My point was merely to state that it in general you don't hear of people blowing their engines with a S/C where as lots of turbo newbies blow their engine, or damage it with a turbo. I myself am a boost newbie.

Forced induction, however, does magnify the consequences of stupid actions, bad driving habits, and general abuse. Racing, launching, redline gear changes, and other habits will kill a car regardless of the induction system.
Superchargers are not inherently damaging; bad drivers are.
