What exactly is the Sirius Satellite unit? Is it the satellite head unit, or is it something else?

 

It is the Mazda accessory Sirius Sat. The only requirement is that your factory head unit has the "SAT" button on the face.

Also right now Mazda has a introductory program with Sirius in that Mazda is going to give you a free 6mo introductory contract with the purchase of the Mazda Sirius sat. kit.

Yes the program is still going with no stop date in sight. The last time I spoke to Mazda on this they said that if they do decide to stop this program it probably wont be until late this year.
