I first want to thank Mazda for a wonderful car that I love more now than the day I bought it (which was a lot)

1) Big brake kit
2) Hood dampers
3) Rotor shaped push button starter
4)Non-integrated stereo head unit (I love performance audio, stock is cool but aftermarket is better)
5) Optional vented hood (painted Carbon Fiber or aluminum)
6) Working Oil pressure, water temp, water pressure gauges
7) Lighted shift **** would be cool
8) Forced Induction. We know you like to play it safe and balanced but some of us would like to compete with the big boys. I have faith that the engineers can create and aggressive F.I. option (large hp gain) that will be reliable and maintain the driveability of the car.
9) Lower cost MS accessories. I know it doesn't cost that much to R&D or produce the parts, especially for the volume you could potentially sell them in.

That is all, thank you!

I think forced induction is a big one for all here. haha It can be done easily and safely just put the effort into a good tune. Make a good solid reflash for it and with an ecu that is so intrusive, imagine if it was used to work with a turbo! To make it warrenty friendly then make a more agressive or atleast a good tune and then if people start messing around with tuning and adding bigger turbos and stuff then void the warranty but if it is dealer installed then i see it being perfectly good as an option. Make 300 whp and keep your warranty and you are sitting on a gold mine! Most people would be more then happy with 300 whp. Its a good solid number thats not outragous and would change the driving characteristics much. This would also sell alot more 8's and the 8 owners would be happier aswell. The option is viable and you have all the experiance of the australian divisions little turbo toy to work with. We dont need 360 whp like they had, it would be nice but to be reasonable i say just 300whp. less stress on the parts better chance of keeping the warranty. Again 300 whp with the vehicles warranty would sell more 8s as well as keep the 8 owners happier, you are sitting on a gold mine mazda.... get busy!

Decide what the car is supposed to be and stand behind it (ie. don't distribute an official Mazda RX-8 DVD showing the rpm's going to 9000, and then void someones warranty because they were revving the car too high).

Just give me back my HP; I don't care if my CAT burns out earlier than expected.

Practical and necessary changes to be made:

1) ***Forced induction ***
2) better heat and AC
3) dipstick located in a better location so that it's not hard to get to when checking
4) a light under the hood that makes checking oil at night easier
5) stronger paint (this paint is the worst I've ever seen. A pebble looking at it the wrong way causes chips!)

Simply said.. the Japanese Mazdaspeed booklet should match ours. There's no reason to keep things from us lovely fans outside of Japan. :]

Factory replacement exhaust shrouds. You would be able to remove the stock shrouds and install the new ones to look more like the MS rear (open on bottom). If the bumper is going to enclose the exhaust tips, it should be a smaller enclosure, especially since the stock tips are so small.

1) Forced Induction
1a) If not possible, at least a better ecu tune

of the products already offered but not on our shores, forcing outrageously priced alternative methods to buy them...

2) Mazdaspeed guage cluster (currently JDM)
3) Mazdaspeed carbon fiber b pillar with the small logo (the JDM one)
4) Short Shifter kit
5) Coilover package... i here that is coming over finally

1) replacement exhaust shrouds (jaguargod)
2) Japanese MS Wheels
3) concept MS Bodykit
4) forced induction
5) puddle lights
6) maybe a cheaper version MS spoiler?

the only problem i have with anything factory is the price! everything is double or triple what it "should" be!

Performance parts for the masses!!!!!

This is why the RX-8 is so much more prolific in Japan. They actually support the car with genuine aftermarket parts that people can afford. Why doesn't Mazda just start making their parts here for the U.S. market? They have to ship the MS parts over here from Japan, and half of the front bumpers have shipping damage from what I have read in some of Rosenthal's threads. Rosenthal recently posted that they are charging a $75 flat fee shipping (I'm not complaining) for the front bumper and that this price is almost 1/3 of what it actually costs to ship. If it costs that much to ship within the U.S., imagine how much they are having to mark it up to recover shipping costs from Japan. It's ridiculous, honestly.

i agree 100%! it would be more feasible to produce these parts in the states, for US consumers anyway, then to have to mark them up out-the-*** and then pass along the, ehem, "savings" to us...... the MS kit is what, like $2500+ (genuine), now granted it is painted and ready to be put on, but still..... charge $1000 even and have a reputable shop do the work, or DIY and it will still not cost that, at least where i am.....

obviously, i'm not blessed with a padded wallet.... it just upsets me sometimes about the prices of OEM aftermarket performance/appearance parts. every company is inflated....

if they these companies made the parts more readily available and affordable, then theoretically they would sell twice as many.

im done.... that is all!

You wish it was $2500. At Rosenthal's reduced prices the MS front, sides, rear and spoiler cost about $3700. If you want to drop the spoiler, you are still looking at $2900+.

1. Upgradable Headunit
2. Working Oil Pressure Gauge

And I did take a beating on the MS kit. It could be priced a little lower. I mean the bumpers and skirts are overpriced, but the spoiler??? $1100 for a spoiler? sheesh, I just ordered a replica.

1.)Hood Dampers
2.)Piano black trim option instead of aluminum look
3.)headlight washers
4.)rotary push button start
5.)Bose as a stand alone option (alot of us don't want it)
6.)different wheel options
7.)modest turbo/supercharger. I don't need a 300WHP ride--but the car could benefit from an extra 35-50 HP.
