Mazda wants your input.
Hello,
My name is Jason I am the website admin for OnlineMazdaParts.com. I have heard and been asked many times from members of this website about Mazda accessories and some OE parts that are offered in other areas of the world but not here. Well I have discussed this with Mazda many times in the past.
Well I came up with an idea of how together we might be able to help Mazda with future products. I have contacted Mazda about this and they are very interested in what you the customer want for thier Mazda vehicle.
What I would like is for the members of this site to list in this thread the products that they would like Mazda to bring to the US. If you can supply links and or pictures that would be great. At the end of March I will E-mail Mazda a link to this thread so they can see what you the customer would like to have.
Please understand that this in no way guarantees that these items will be brought over or even made, but what it will do is let Mazda know what you the Mazda owner and accessory customer want.
If someone lists an item that you would like to see quote thier comment and list your want for that item also. The more an item is listed the better.
I will not be responding to any queastions or comments on this thread this is mearly a survey of sorts for Mazda's use. Please do not write bad comments or negative remarks for those will not help our case.
Remember there is not a promise that these products will be offered or produced, but if Mazda doesn't know of the demand they wont even think about it in the first place.
I thank you for whatever help is givin. If you have any questions please PM them to me because this thread is for you to give input to Mazda not to me.

JDM clear corners offered from mazda usa would be sweet. I noticed that you could pick up the stock amber ones for around 35 USD so why not JDM clears for the same price. Everywhere else has them listed around 70. Maybe if Mazda brought them here, they could come down in price a little. I dont feel like dropping almost a hundred dollars for these.

1. MS Concept bodykit (each part sold individually and also offered as a complete package for a discount) ... fenders aren't necessary (as the show car's were FRP)
If all of #1 isn't possible...
- MS Concept rear adjustable lip spoiler
- MS Concept seats... with leather option
2. Navigation system display dash panel (without screen) -OR- reasonable substitute (NOT JDM Navigation Display Tray)
3. Euro lip spoiler
4. Shinka Piano Black center console (offered similar to the MS "carbon fiber" piece" -OR- Piano Black door handle bezel)
5. Different gear shift **** (something like AutoExe's, BMW M3, or MS Concept (but with leather instead of carbon fiber)
6. Different emergency brake lever (a "normal" looking one... like the miata with leather)
5. Piano Black pillar cover with rotor logo
6. Lighter "light weight" flywheel -OR- lower price on current model (all competing models are both lighter and less expensive even though they are made at lower volume)
7. MS steel braided brake hose
8. MS big brake kit
Something that Mazda has yet to do... offer forced induction (or upgrade kits in the case of the Mazdaspeed 6) as a "tuner" accessory, dealer-installed. I doubt we'll see it, but it's plainly stupid not to do so. It is not a liability or whatever both legal and the bean counters are saying. Toyota does it with TRD (superchargers for the Scion Tc, Tacoma X-Runner and more), GM is doing it with the Cobalt SS and soon with the Solstice/Sky, Chrysler does it with the Neon SRT-4, and there are rumors of VW doing it with the new GTI... even Ford is offering upgraded superchargers for the 2003-04 Cobra and and add-on supercharger for the Focus SVT. The evidence is overwhelming.
If you can't do forced induction, then how about working a little with the aftermarket OTHER THAN Racing Beat? Ford, GM, and VW seem to be. Don't worry about emissions issues, etc. Leave those for the aftermarket companies and vehicle owners to worry about. The only thing you need to do is like in the IT industry... license your product... more specifically, for a small fee, offer an SDK for the ECU allowing companies like SCT, Sniper, etc. to build a flash tuner for Mazda vehicles. If you really need to cover your ***, then specify as part of the license agreement that they can't offer an "end user" programmable unit... that only authorized dealers/shops can purchase and use that kit to tune for aftermarket forced induction or whatever. End users can only get what Ford Racing uses with their parts... a pre-programmed ECU flasher (not tunable).
Speaking of which why aren't any of the Mazdaspeed parts offered as value packages? Ford Racing does it. Make a separate Mazdapspeed site (Mazdaspeed.com??) and brouchures for new car owners will help to further sales.

Freedom Costs a Buck o' 5
1. Hood dampers
2. Optional vented hood
3. Stereo HU configuration that is compatible with aftermarket products
4. More affordable MS bodykits (currently almost $3,700 for front, rear, sideskirts and spoiler and these are Rosenthal's reduced prices). They are losing potential sales to people who are buying the replica kits, because they can afford them
5. Rotor shaped start button
6. Working oil pressure guage
7. Colder A/C
8. High quality seat warmers
