Hey now Dro, I was intrigued by the comment Rosenthal made about how they are not releasing their dyno numbers although Mazda supposedly has them. I was wondering if Bagman had any different info. We now at least know they have dyno numbers, which is not where we were a few weeks ago. So this question now becomes relevant again.

From what I know Mazda hasn't really released any dyno numbers in the past. I am sure they have them as well to make sure they didn't create a part that takes power away from the car. You need to realize that they can sell their products without proven power claims because people love to buy parts that were designed by the company that made their car in the first place. I actually think it is pretty smart of Mazda, then they don't have to worry with people pissing and moaning about their CAI didn't dyno as high as Mazda is advertising.

This is how I see it, I could be wrong but it makes sense to me.

Rosenthal just posted this about the CAI release date:

They were suppose to be released last week, that got pushed to 6/19.

JM is this true, have you heard that?? That would suck major ballz.

That is not what I was told Wed morning. The guy that I get all my ETA info from on the Mazdaspeed products is on vacation til Tues so I can't confirm or deny Rosenthall's info.

I can say that I was told that some where to get to the PDC's yesterday and today. So the odds that I see some next week are suposed to be very good, but they have misinformed me before. I will find out some more Tues.

I just got off the phone with Mazda. The first batch of RX-8 CAI's should reach the PDC's @ June 15th, yes majorly deleayed from the last time I spoke with Mazda. I will stay with this until the day I know that they have shipped to the PDC's.

If there are any of you out there that have lost there patience and would like to cancel your order please PM me and let me know. No hard feelings I truely understand.

I am sorry for the inacurate info in the past couple weeks just relaying what I am told by Mazda and they are just relaying what we are told by our supplier.

For those of you have been and will continue to wait for the MS CAI I truely appreciate your patience with Mazda.

Thanks again,
JMBaggie

Bagman, Rosenthal just stated this:

GRMS-8M-K30 Will Ship to PDC’s 5/31-06 (TODAY)

I'll have them in a couple of days.

I am assuming that this will change your previous estimated customer shipping date. Any updates?

Correct I got word today also that the first batch has shipped to the PDC's today and should be arriving to them in the next 3-4 work days. Figure @1-2 days for the PDC's to process them and then 2-3 days for me to get mine.

Once I get a better date I will contact each pre-order to advise them. I will post my overflow when I know how many extra I have I will post what I have left.

Just so everybody knows. All my pre-orders should be covered in this first round and I should have a couple extra. I will know more as soon as I see an invoice from Mazda.

Nothing as of yet on the CAI, and if you are looking for HP #'s Mazda will never release any, liability reasons.

If you are also asking about the MS exhaust that released a couple of months ago and I do have a couple in stock.

I have seen weight numbers of 2-6 lbs lighter. I don't know the reasons for the differences. The original design was supposed to be 7lbs lighter but when all the fixes to the original design where said and done it gave back some of that weight it loss.

As for dyno numbers I will have to leave that up to my customers who may have dyno'ed it, because I haven't.

Any further news on the CAI? I've been checking my email everyday to see if theyve been sent out or not. Just thought I'd ask! Thanks.

Should be very soon. I know that the first batch has shipped to the PDC's. So it should be just a matter of days before they start coming to me.
