What's this I hear?

I goto drop off my wife CX9 for oil change at U Mazda, and I BS with the guys like usual, and they tell me, "See that RX-8 out there?" "If you want it, its the last one". I ask him what he means, and he said Mazda wont be bringing the 8 anymore into the US?

Whaaa? Most likely all the engines they replaced cost em too much, i dunno?

So how long after the model is out of production can we expect the value of the 8 to start going up? 10 years...20?

^ What he said. It was a good run, and not that surprising since they've been selling <2,000/year for the last couple years. Means the people with the '09-'11's will likely continue to be screwed when it comes to tuning the stock ECU.
