I am Planning to Install underbody Neon light for my New RX8(BLK) . I know its illegal but I still want to install it. It looks great.

I live in Bellevue, Do you guys recommend anybody who does a good Job on this. I can get good neon frm ebay for about 70$.

Cool Good Neon....

Good Neon is probably an oxymoron.

Well, technically it's only illegal while your driving on public roads.

If you're unsure why not to do it, read my sig and replace exhaust with neon/stickers/outrageous body kits and wings/vinyl/carbon fiber/...

That being said, to each his own. Go for it. Just make sure you come on some drives and turn the neon off while rolling with the rest of the group.

It's not like YOU actually see the lights yourself...

I'll Say it, because LEDS, NEON, those little Windshield Sprayers, HUGE DECALS, Overly LOUD EXHAUST.... etc? Are cheap gimmicks, and they look like it.

Lame, tired, Over used, over done, and don't belong on an RX or any self respecting sports car.

NOT just my Opinion, it's a common opinion, the NEON and stuff was kinda neat back in the mid 90s but now just looks silly, it's a great way to attract attention so EVERYONE can say "Whoa, He's 'FLY'..." (Insert dripping sarcasm)

Maybe it's just one persons opinion, maybe it's the general opinion of the masses. Hell I work in the Motor Sports industry so I might kinda know whats in a little bit... Kinda.

BUT End of the day it's your ride and you're the one that has to live with it. Free country and all of that.

I agree Neon sucks.

If I was going to do any type of underbody liteing it would be a controllable LED kit..

So flame on !

Settle down now. The detractors have all recognized the fact that it's your car and you'll do as you please. Remember, though, that you did ask, and really ought to have expected the responses you got. I wonder if we can all manage to forget about this thread now.

Which is actually a far better and less fragile way to go if your hell bent on turning your ride into a Circus Sideshow or Mardi-Gras Float.

Still eww, but the LEDS are a better way to go. More durable, consume very little power, and they last a long time.

Otherwise.... ....

Underbody lighting is gay! That's what we like to call "Ricer" especially on an RX8 man, leave that **** for all the Honda kids out there. Or you could go ahead and do the light kit, get a big *** "Super Street" decal for your windshield, put NOS and other stickers on your car of parts that you don't have... seriously the only people you are going to impress with that are 15 year old kids who have the The Fast and the Furious too many times (isn't 1 time too many???) Just please don't do it, you'll give us 8 owners a bad name.

I like it. Which LED kit?

To the others here: notice NO stickers, Park bench, and skanky ho's sitting on his 8.

Some here will flame and jeer you , while others here will cheer you and give the thumbs up . But it boils down to yourself. It's your car and you do what you want to do with it. If it makes you feel good to do what you want to your RX8, then what gives the others the right to deny you that feeling. If others feel differently to what you want, well that's too bad and just give them this .

I personally am not a big fan of underbody lighting but it's your car and if you really want to do it... then go for it.
