It didn't rain at all today, except for maybe 10 seconds right before lunch... and that one time Cam blasted me with crap from his windshield cleaner. We spent 4 miles of today on a dirt road and DAMN did the cars get dirty, but none topped how dirty my 8 got.

Small Pics here: http://pics.dpsubs.org/Freedom_Run/
Large Pics: http://pics.dpsubs.org/Freedom_Run_Large/

"What's that new color 8's come in?"

Yah, it's really that dirty. Fortunately, we hit 100 again after this section and it cleaned itself off pretty well. We really wanted a pic of me parked next to a Subbie though

Kris, here's that minivan I was talking about on the way back:

Ha ha... nice! How many cars this time - 5? 2 8's, a Subie, and 2 S2K's?

I don't like getting my car dirty

Does Chris have the supercharger working yet?

Yes he does.

And there were 4, no subbie, I was just saying I wanted a pic of a dirt covered 8 next to a pristine WRX or STI.

Kris and Me in 8's, Chris and Cam in S2k's. No one got lost! Though Chris and I got stuck behind trucks a couple times and there were a few questionable passes to stick together.

It's the Chris in the Yellow S2000 who's SC'd. Not that he isn't VERY fast, just wanted to make sure we were clear on that.

So maybe my mileage wasn't as good as I thought it was... I got 14mpg on this tank and did a bit of highway driving getting home from the meet and again to and from work today.

Well, cruising around West Seattle after the drive didn't do us any favors. Low speeds kill mileage. I always figure on burning a full tank on a drive.

I have to say!!! I could not have this car if I was getting 14mpg I normally get 19mpg and on a drive I get 17 or 18 mpg. Not to mention hwy 21 mpg

I guest a should mention, I use my cruse control 95% of the time and I normally skip gears(1 to 2 to 6) and yes if the car is not needing power down hill or flat, I will put 6 gears at 20 or 25 mph. But don't get me wrong if the condition are right I will punch-it, well some of you have see me drive my car on a drive!!!

Yah, normal commuter tanks for me are closer to 18 or 19 with highway closer to 24. I spent the bulk of this drive in the power band. We didn't get stuck behind slow traffic nearly as much as last month.

Kristopher, Did you take any pics from this drive? A group shot? And is there a group shot for the June drive?

I have group shots of both events, and a video I'm editing together. I just got a new cable for my digital still camera, so I can finally pull the photos off of it. I'll get everything up this weekend.

Sorry for the delay. My current MS contract is almost up, so I've been spending a lot of time looking for a new one.

Here's the July group photo. The June one must be on my other computer. It'll take me a little while to dig it out and hook it up.

Awesome, thanks! I like how you did it this time, although I'm sure 4 cars is much easier to get in the picture I've been keeping a copy of each group shot for my own records, so this is cool. I'll stay posted on the June pic.

Yeah, I liked it too. I think we could probably do as many as 6 cars this way pretty easily. More than that, and I'll have to start climbing structures that that have signs telling me not to.

That'd be very cool... get a pic from higher up with all the cars in rows or something with drivers next to them. Do you have a gorilla pod and a remote? If not, we could try mine. We have to make sure you're in the picture too.
