Yeah that seems to be the primary concern from the tinters I've spoken to. All say the same thing, go with non-metallic in our cases in the off chance it does happen.

Anybody else get a chance to schedule their tint yet? This is the list:
1)Skinless (Scheduled)
2)05TiGr8Lady
3)Proxi
4)Flomulgator
5)TheBri
6)jisoo26
7)dsmdriver
If you've changed your mind let me know. They are expecting 7 of us.

Skinless, When are you going in? I'd like to go when another 8 is there if possible.
Also, one of my other sisters (I have 4 sisters and a brother!) wants to get her minivan redone, and possibly another car too. I told her to mention the RX8 group deal.

I'm scheduled for Friday, Dec. 15th at noon. They said it will take about 2 1/2 hours. I have vacation saved up, so that's my first day off. for the Christmas break.
Good call on having her mention the group deal. I'm having my friend do the same with his SUV.

Hey Skinless, I'll get to meet you finally . I have an appointment the 15th at 2:30! It's my last work day also (well the morning anyway) and then I'm off until Jan 8th!

Just out of curiosity, does everybody know what level of tint they are going with? I'm still trying to decide between 35% and 20%. I'll probably wait until I have my appointment and decide after I look at them.

I guess I can try to help you out here Skinless. My tint is 30% all around, got it done in Cali when I used to live in SD. Im thinking about giving them a call and see if they can tint the windows on my WRX, you think they'll honor the group price for that?

dmp just got his done and he said he went 20 on the back 3 and 30 on the side 2. You can see in the photomedia section - his thread is "Things Got Darker".

I'm speaking for myself of course, but there is a possibility that Marquis might like some help too. When we installed our 6CD changers we had a little party with Kristopher who had experience installing the MP3 unit.
It's definitely not a rush thing, but I'm willing to buy beer or whatever if you have time to help me/us. What do you think?

Made my appointment...Friday January 5th!
I'm probably going to go with 35%....I don't want to get pulled over just because of the shade of my tint ;P Plus I don't have my front license plate on so I don't want to get dinged twice!

For starters, I'd recommend getting these bulbs. They're what I got and they made a HUGE difference over the ones that come w/ the kit. I understand that Derwankel's are better than OEM but they are still halogen and these are easily 5 times brighter. Get the ones you see in the picture. You can always change them out later, which is a lot easier than the install iteslf (which itself is not too difficult)

I can certainly give advice and might be able to help too, I'd just need to think about how (holiday craziness). Too bad we're not tinting at the same time! [narrowly avoiding a total hijack]

I'm going to give them a call tomorrow (Monday) to set up a tint schedule on the first week of January. I'm heading down to SoCal with the family to spend the holidays over there. Will be staying over at Anaheim and won't be back until the 30th. I'm going to have them tint my 8's windows at 30%.

I'm going to double check and give them a call again when I get back from SoCal on the 30th just to make sure.

First 8 done in our group
Well, so far so good
Just got back from Dark Side!! Took 2 hours. Carlos is a great guy and I'm likin' what I see so far. He also showed me how to take my door panels off (since he had them off) so I can start my puddle light installation when I get around to doing it (with the help of Flomulgator of course ). I was a chicken and went for 35% all around
