Is it time?

very sad to say, but my lease is up on april 10th, and i have to decide to either buy the car, or turn it in. and buying it isnt looking like the best deal so far.

anyway.. before i turn in the car back to mazda I'm going to put the stock intake back in, and switch out the corner lights back to amber. anybody interested in:

OLD K&N typhoon intake. polished piping, about 15,000 miles used.
It's surprisingly loud when you get on it, but sounds SWEET.

Clear corners with stealth bulbs. Perfect condiditon, just like new.

make me an offer if your interested in either of these :]

Ill keep posted what possible new cars I'm looking at

Get another 8, then you get to keep your parts. Or keep the car. Come on, what other car could be as fun and convenient for the price? You know you want stay on the rotary band wagon. Go out and make a few a red line pulls. What else is going to put that kind of grin on your face for the same money?

Yeah I would love to keep the car, But i am commuting from everett to sea-tac every day. we all know the gas mileage is not-so-good. I love the car, and hate to give it up but its just not practical for my situation.. maybe in a few years i'll pick up another one and build it up as a project.. but for now... :[ we'll see..

You could pick up a Mazda 3 instead....much better economy and still a sporty drive.

Already have one. wife's car :] LOVE IT.

So it looked as i was going to get a very good deal on a 2003 VW passat with the w8 motor but I think the deal has fell through. Looking like possibly an acura tsx, bmw 330 or 525/530 4 door. although im debaation keeping the 8, we'll see what mazda offers me to purchase at the end of my lease

Check the dealer's stock for 8's. If they have a lot of them sitting around right now - especially if they still have 2006 models - they'll be much more easy to 'work with'. And by 'work with' I mean you walk in there and tell them how much you're going to give them and if they don't like it you're walking. That's how I got my 05 so cheap last year in March. University Mazda still had 5 2005 8's on their lot and it was the end of March 2006 already.

With 8's sitting on dealer lots, that's a clear indication we're not taking enough people for rides in our cars. If we were, we'd be converting more reciprocators to rotor-heads.
