Spring install Seattle area
Welcome to the area. It will probably cost you around $400 to $500 to have a shop install your springs. I had purchased my Tanabe GF210 and called around to see how much it will cost me to have them install it. Lee Johnson Mazda at Kirkland wanted around $600 to install the springs. Speedware Motorsports in Redmond was asking around $500. Of course all these prices included a 4-wheel alignment. The Tanabe springs I bought only cost me $170 for the set. There is no way in hell I am spending $400 to $500 just to install them. So I just bit the bullet and install them myself. Rented myself some tools over at my local Schuck's and printed out a number of DIY instructions from the DIY section of this forum. I was able to finish and install all four springs in one day. And this was my first time of doing it. Not bad, eh.
The next day I went over to my local Les Schwab shop and have them do a 4-wheel alignment for $50. All in all I spent around $80 for the tools and alignment. I did that a little bit over a year ago and I have not run into any problems with my car's suspension since then.
Depending on how much you are willing to spend to pay some shop to install your springs, you'll definitely save more if you just do it yourself. If you're lucky you might find someone to help you install them instead.
But if you still want a shop to install them, I would recommend Speedware Motorsports at Redmond:

Good luck.

Those priceings are rapeings at best! I had springs put on my honda(I know, go ahead and laygh) for $100. My buddy runs a shop In puyallup. I will try to call him and see if he would do it and for how much.
I agree. Which is why I did the install myself. I'm not paying a shop more than twice of what I paid for the springs I got just to have them installed and aligned. After reading the number of posts in this forum about people installing their springs themselves, I went ahead and did the same thing. I'm just glad a number of them posted great DIY instructions on how to do it. Plus it was a good experience for me. I usually know my limitations and after reading posts in here about installing springs, I pretty much knew I can do it on my own.
But if you're not really sure on doing it on your own, definitely find someone who can help you who won't charge an arm and a leg.

The last thing you need is someone drunk to install parts in your car.
hehe
Yup, I could be convinced to help for standard car-guy fare, or just do the job for quite a bit less. I have all the tools for the springs, but you'll still need to have a proper shop do the alignment.
Right now I have time most days. Just let me know when you want to do it and we'll figure something out. I'd prefer to do it at my place (packing all those tools around makes the front end floaty and the gas mileage even worse).
