Tarmac Turkey Tumble III - 30 November

A Thanksgiving Bash! For this year's Tarmac Turkey Tumble we'll return to the south end to work off some of that Tryptophan. We'll meet at Puyallup's Wildwood park, located on 23rd Ave SE between 13th St and 15th St. Sign in: 9:00 Drivers' meeting and Group photo: 9:45 Departure: 10:00

Registration and further details http://www.the-winding-road.com/modu...ent.php?eid=48

Sorry for the late notice. I've been wanting to pre-run the route BEFORE posting, but the flooding has made that tough. I'll be confirming the passability of roads this weekend.

Woot Woot! This one should be fun! Hopefully we won't have the attention from the "Law" that we got last time!

You know I will be there!

I'm pretty sure the issue we had last month was due to our being on a major highway. This time around we wont be spending any ware near as much time on the highway.

This is true! And it's not like we had a whole lot of trouble. It's was pretty minor considering we werent going wild on the highway itself. Infact I wouldnt say we were going wild on the drive at all. We were just having fun.

That last one being my first, that's all it took to hook me! And I am very curious about January's drive as you mentioned the last one was a pretty large turnout. So that is definitely a plus!

I'm going to try to make it back up to one of these sometime soon now that I have a lot more free time and cash. Can't remember if I'm free that weekend or not, though. Oh well. I'll most likely make it up for the December one.

Well, pre-run is done, and now I've a bit of re-routing to do. Some of the roads are either impassible or non-existent. That being said, most of the route is awesome. The directions are a bit complex but this will be one of the most twisty packed routes I've done in quite some time.

Yeah I could see where some of those roads would be a bit on the tricky side with the elevation and weather changes coming this month. Hopefully it will be dry out there so we don't have to worry about traction on the winding roads!

As for the others who plan on this trip! Talk to your friends, get them interested! The more people we can get the better! I've already tried to get 4 other people interested. One said he's probably going to be willing to go in January and his son is also interested in January. One drives a Mercedes Benze CLK and his son drives an 06 Rx8.

I might go if I can get off work. Only problem is if I hit all the lights it will take me almost 10 min to get there!!! I don't know if I could get there early enough.

Kris D. Not sure if you remember me or not but we've met before.

Sounds like fun. I may be able to attend.

Swirl, I remember you. It'd be great to have you out for a run.

tuner, the transmission is working out wonderfully. I'm using Redline MT-90. Of the ones I was looking for, that was the only one I could find locally.

I know you use Amsoil motor oil, were you trying to find that? I can get that easy if you need it.

I think my friend with the G37 may show up, not sure. I should tell my housemate to come with his Saab 9-3 Convertible

Hey, it's turbo and makes almost as much power as us!.......

Actually, I was driving it around the other day, I don't know if I'll ever be able to drive a manual without a short throw. The 8 and my friend's Miata have spoiled me.

From what I heard on the radio last night is that the weather is going to be great! So there should be plenty of dry roads out there!

Got my fresh oil change done, getting the car cleaned on Friday morning and come Sunday I've got a great drive, then heading to a concert that evening. Can't really complain about this 4 day weekend! It's going to be a fun one!

Yeah Kris, where we stopping for food along the way?

I agree, I actually drove my Dad's truck last weekend to help a friend move and I really missed the short shifting. But seeing as I doubt I will own another piston vehicle, unless they do away with rotaries all together, I don't have anything to worry about!

Well I am going to see a band called "the Decemberists" with my co-pilot. They're at the Moore theatre in Seattle but the doors dont open until 7pm and show starts at like 8pm so plenty of time as I highly doubt we'll be out there for 10 hours. The last drive was from 10am till about 5pm so that would be plenty of time.

Yeah, I was looking for the 90 weight standard gear oil and the friction modifier. The extreme pressure stuff may have been part of the issue with my last transmission.

I've got about 25000 miles left on this fluid change, and I've 2 qts of MT-90 in the garage, but I'll hit you up when it comes time again.

We're eating at Frankie's Pizza in Enumclaw. We should get there around noon, give or take half an hour.
