Where are you located at? I spent the weekend at Robbie's and made it out just fine. He lives in the Mountain Park area right off Capital Highway. When I left Tuesday it was still totally covered in a solid packed sheet of white snow and ice. I didn't skid or slide or anything, even though I was really worried about it happening. I'm glad I opted for my all seasons when I got new tires in October.

My supervisor called today around noon and told me that pretty much everything at the hospital was shutting down at 3 p.m. so I didn't have to come in today.

Which bars were you hanging out at? I spent all day Sunday at Hanko's. It's a sports bar in Mountain Park.

I'm in West Linn, Hanko's sounds familar but the one I'm thinking of is in Lake Oswego opposite the DMV and Columbia outlet place. I haven't bought new tires for my car yet and it's on crappy dunlops which are terrible at the best of times. I rented a FWD car yesterday as I couldn't take it anymore, now it's all thawed!

Yeah. Hanko's is in Lake Oswego on, I believe, Monroe. There's a grocery store and little shopping center across the street from it, but I can't recall which one. I don't think there is a DMV or anything nearby, but then again I don't really know what's immediately nearby or in the shopping center. I know there is a Chevron on the corner at the traffic light and Hanko's is in the building heading up the hill immediately behind the Chevron. Robbie and his friends go there all the time as it is apparently centrally located to where they all live in the area.

I almost bought a house in West Linn a couple months ago on Sussex Street. However, I apparently have the worst timing on earth. I got my loan preapproval on a Thursday, found the house over the weekend, and went back on Monday to pay the fees to draw up the paperwork and all that other stuff so I could get the house. Unfortunately, that Monday was the one where all the credit markets collapsed and they took back my loan on me. Grrrr!!!! I figure in maybe about a year or so I'll start looking for houses and try again. There aren't too many in my budget in the neighborhood I want, let alone for sale right now. I want to live in the Rosemont Ridge area.
