My compression ended up being at a lowly 5.4...which sucks but the engine is supposed to be coming in on Monday. The clutch is apparently not a warranty item. I called Mazda headquarters; they said no. :'( but Mazdatrix offers it for 100 bucks...A lot less than Mazda. :-D

 

Hrrrm I assume you mean 5.4atm? It sounds like I should really get my engine compression tested before I settle in fully with this car. Does anyone have a compression tester that I can borrow? :D

 

no it's kgf/cm2. i have nemesis' tester until he steals it back.

Oh I havent heard someone using kgf/cm^2 since ever o.o. But either way, did you end up getting the stock clutch pedal assembly from Mazdatrix? I can hear mine starting to squeak just a little, so I'm getting concerned.

Also, apparently light silver Rx8s are cursed?! I had never heard of this~!

 

Yeah, that's where I went. Payed a lot less than anywhere else. So I'm happy.
