Anyone been to the Gorge from Portland before? I'm going to the Sasquatch festival on the Sunday and camping the night. Just wanted to know what the drive was like, also after mapquesting it the distance is 260 miles from my house so I probably won't get there on a full tank, looking at the map I'll go through Yakama Indian Reservation and some places that look like the middle of nowhere on the map, are there plenty of fuel stops on the way?

Of course I'm being lazy but if someone has already done the trip and knows the area well it's better than a google

 

The Gorge is 260 Miles from Portland???? Last time I checked it was a lot closer than that??

Isn't it at Hood River......about 60 miles away?????

 

I'll be there Friday night, but not for the Festval. Driving in from Aberdeen - 5 hour drive. There are plenty of gas stations.

 

Seems like you're not familar with the Sasquatch festival then...I'm not talking about the Columbia River Gorge, but the Gorge Amphitheatre..commonly known as 'The Gorge'....anyway hopefully it's a nice drive
