Did you previously purchase a motor which is why you are sending it to Mazmart? If not then why not buy a motor from them?

It is a Mazmart engine. Remember the "Full Moon Sale"' they had awhile back? I nabbed up a Rick Engman reman motor. That is why Dan was giving me grief over the miles the motor will have on it traveling back and forth from Washington to Georgia - LOL

Rick is going to replace the housings and apex seals, and street port the irons.

It's easy enough to flare out the ends of the pipe to match....

Flare the outboard end of the midpipe or tig and rod.

Remember 3.262 - 3.002 = .260 then divide by 2 for the gap. So .130" at the most.

I was just surprised that it doesn't come with proper fitting tapered ends of the appropriate tube sizes.

Sure you can flare, taper, etc. the pipe ends, but that's not the point. Sometimes things are more than they seem.

Sometimes you just have to learn to fabricate yourself.

Can't wait for this build to be done. I'm curious how much power that port job will give the Renny... Definately will have to have a NW meet when this is done!
