Jedi54 07-01-2011 03:53 PM

get well soon.
hopefully it wasn't anything tooo major and you'll be back working on the car soon.

bse50 07-01-2011 04:15 PM

I hope everything went well with you at least :)

Nemesis8 07-01-2011 06:23 PM

I'm fine - should be able to get the second rebuild in the car this month. My surgery was emergency related, but not life threatening... Lets just say it was and is a major pain in the ass for now. lmao

Dan knows, and has offered to come down and wrench soon. I will get the numbers up this month dammit. I miss my freakin' car!!!

It was at the office for awhile, just now had the energy to go get it and bring it home. Should have it dressed out and hanging on the picker for when dan arrives to help shoehorn it in Friday.

NgoRX8 07-05-2011 05:33 PM

Nemesis: not sure if you mentioned it earlier and I missed it but was this motor built locally?
did we discover the cause of the last motor going?

Mazmart rebuilt it. Should be good to go now. Trick engines... I must say Paul, Rick, and the "Doc" upgraded it on their nickel. They are looking for numbers I believe!

The build starts tonight :p:

pdxhak 07-07-2011 07:14 PM

It ran perfect for the ride home also. I want your tailights NOW!!

:D:

pdxhak 07-10-2011 12:02 PM

If I had any spare VLEDs they would be yours!

Nemesis8 07-11-2011 03:28 PM

First tank of gas results:
287.7 Miles
13.338 Gallons
Kept it under 5K revs

Brettus 07-11-2011 03:30 PM

that's a great result ...... but not the one we want :)

I have confirmed we re-used the bearings since they only had 8K on them. Going to run 500 miles, change the oil, run another 500 miles, then check AFR's. If all looks good, I am off to Portland to dyno on the same rollers as before.

I can already tell you, this version is tight and strong. More power down low - cannot wait to open it up.

pdxhak 07-12-2011 04:35 PM

There is going to be a meet and dyno runs at Cobb on 8/14. Might be a busy day but if all you want is a couple of runs then you should be able to get on. I will meet you at the dyno :)

Nemesis8 07-12-2011 04:40 PM

I will not require tuning, just a number, so 2 runs only. I could go first and warm up the rollers - :p:

Nemesis8 07-12-2011 04:41 PM

I will come down sooner than that. I fly out to Indy on the 24th.

pdxhak 07-12-2011 04:54 PM

Let me know when you plan to be there and I will do my best to show up.
